'Wren Gill drops from the eastern side of Little Harter Fell in south Cumbria to become the river Sprint. It is the fastest rising river in England.

Beyond Longsleddale the Sprint is joined by the Mint to become the Kent as it flows to the sea at Morecambe Bay.'

These photographs were taken along the river Sprint and Kent over a 3 year period on 35mm and medium format film cameras, including a 1959 Rolliecord VB and 1989 Bronica ETRS. They were chemically developed and scanned by hand at home.
